All file sizes are based on the US eShop. Things to note while reading this thread: But the work Natsume and Hot-B did during the same time is just amazing. You want to download games on your 3DS but not sure if your current SD Card will be able to handle it? Well, look no further than this topic, where you can check the file size of every downloadable title for the Nintendo 3DS. I would have to say that Black Pearl did some great work with Bass Masters Classic: Pro Edition, while Imagitec did really solid work with TNN Outdoors '96. It's interesting to see the comparisons between American devs and Japanese Devs in regards to design and execution. The Japanese development, especially during the 4th gen consoles, made some incredible fishing games. These games are way, way funner than I ever gave them any credit for. This whole experience has been enjoyable. In Super Black Bass Fishing, you can see Star*Fish is flirting around with what eventually becomes the full 3D fishing game Super Black Bass 3D. There seems to be a couple similar titles on the GBA (American Bass Challenge) and DS (Super Black Bass Fishing), that I will most likely get on, just in an effort to chase down the Hot-B fishing titles. I really want something similar to old Hot-B/Star*Fish games. There are a good handful of fishing titles on the 3DS, but not all of them are games I think I will play heavily. I have read some random small reviews of Ultimate Angler, and none of them were particularly flattering, but they also didn't seem to spend a lot of time with the title. I think I would be totally willing to jump on it at $19.99, but as it is, it's kinda hard to find info on this game. It's getting so little attention/sales that I would assume it will go down in price at some point, but there's no telling with the Nintendo eshop. I saw that Ultimate Angler was available for purchase in the eshop as a full-priced title. Yeah, I was under the impression Ultimate Angler was at some point supposed to get a physical US release, but was later canceled. Right down to the timing of skill features and stuff. I can see how games like Big Bass Arcade: No Limit have take a ton of ideas from the Sega Bass Fishing games and tweaked them for their own franchise. It's fun to see how many fish you can get in a 5 minute span, or how quickly you can meet a weight requirement, etc. I like that there are a bunch of small details to help make the whole experience more complex while forcing the time limits to add a bit of stress to the whole play session. Its simple, addictive game play is enjoyable and rewarding. It's really interesting to see how much that game has influenced fishing games since its release. I had played it on the Dreamcast, but the Wii version is a sort of sequel. I picked up Sega Bass Fishing on the Wii yesterday and played some of that. As I'm looking at fishing games in general, across multiple platforms now. It's kinda opened a weird pandora's box though. Yeah, the whole idea was to find out how Angler's Club stacks up to other popular fishing titles.
